I’m a Master of Fine Arts student (major in photography) at the Parsons School of Design - The New School, based in New York. I love everything that is too much to handle. I have an obsession with fruits, Drag Queens, good conversations about inappropriate daily life details.
I wish I could say “Yes, I'm an early bird and I’m also done with all my e-mails around 11am because I’m badass“, but that would be a lie. I actually need a lot of sleep and usually wake up around 10am after pushing the snooze button a thousand times. If I have to be at a meeting or at school it’s the same procedure but around 7am instead 11am. Most of the time it’s a fight between my teenage-self and my grown-up-self.
It’s Culture Club’s song: Karma Chameleon.
If I don’t have to get up immediately, I grab my phone, turn the flight mode off and check my mails first thing. After that I’ll check whatsapp and my social media accounts and when I’m done with my phone I usually take a couple of minutes in bed to plan my outfit and to go through my day.
Usually I don’t really have time for breakfast, so I end up with Cheerios or fruits on the go.
I’m definitely a night owl. I’d love to work during the night but for some reason clients only reply to e-mails during the day, haha. A 12-hours school day can be exhausting, especially in this city. I’m trying to force myself to be less of a night owl and more of an early bird.
I recharge by spending time with my beloved heartpeople. Like, when my boyfriend booked me a ticket to Milan because I wanted to eat pasta and pizza for one whole weekend. Or flying to Miami with my best girlfriend in winter to escape the Christmas trash in the city, drinking black tea and talking to my mum about life lessons for hours, going to the countryside to celebrate at your best friend’s farm house. Having all of my friends care, no matter how far away they are and in what time zone they live – I guess all of those things contribute to my happiness and help me recharge.
I have to, yes.
Yes, who doesn’t? Especially after a long exhausting day.
The good old brushing your teeth and getting rid of your contact lenses - thing.
Depends on what’s going to happen the next day. I never force myself into falling asleep so if there’s no chance because I’m too excited or just too awake I end up reading or watching something until I can’t open my eyes anymore.
My mum’s house. Closely followed by my place.
I almost never remember what the dream was about. Most of the times I just remember what I felt during it.
Pink princess net.
Yes, hundred percent. I have to feel comfortable to fall asleep.
If I’m tired I tend to fall asleep everywhere, it doesn’t really matter if it’s safe or not. So there are a couple of places. One moment I remember in particular was on a trip to Milan. My boyfriend and me had an early flight and we also went to a friend’s birthday party the night before. We decided to do an all-nighter and didn’t sleep for 30 hours or more. At this point I just literally fell asleep everywhere until we arrived in Milan.
We enter a world we can’t enter during being awake. The unconscious and weird side of our life lies in our dreams.
None.
I guess I'd want to dream about something fun and erotic. Maybe something including Sushi and my boyfriend naked.
