Emily Gillis is a talented graphic designer from Melbourne. She's focussed on branding, styling and art direction, which we can see in the beautiful photos she shared with us. Today, she talkes to us about her sleeping habits. Also, funny enough, she's a pyjama model for the sleepwear brand Masini & Chern, who she also did the branding for.

I am a very light sleeper, I don’t need too much sleep though.

In my own bed.
What are the things you need for a good sleep?
Get into comfortable clothes, light a candle and write a to-do-list in bed for the following day.
What do you keep on your nightstand?
I keep an array of things on my nightstand. Unlike most people who keep things of function or relative to sleep next to their bed (like a book/box of tissues/clock), I like to keep things which inspire me.
These currently include broken glass table lighter, a marble dish with earrings I don't wear and Aesop hand cream in a light pink tube. I love being surrounded by things I find of beauty... Let's not forget the plants either...
Do you remember your dreams?
I always have vivid dreams. The last one I can remember is my dream from last night where I was buying bath towels on sale and cafe patron.
Why do you think we sleep?
To allow our mind + body to rejuvenate, re-energise...
Describe your bed in 3 words.
Clean, white, sacred.
What is the weirdest spot you’ve fallen asleep?
In a tree house on an island off Cambodia.
Do you care about what you're wearing at night?
It must be light and breathable, which usually means something cotton and loose!
What do you want to dream about tonight?
The day I own a white warehouse in the wilderness, looking over the ocean.
